■About This Items■ It is modified to reduce noise. We plugged in the guitar and got sound. Tested.It works fine with 9V power adapter or 9V battery. It made in Japan 1981 and Modified in Japan 2024. The power supply unit has been modified so that it can be used with a PSA-type adapter. Boss GE-7 with ACA type power supply section is modified to be used with PSA type adapter from ACA type adapter by connecting board number 2 and 3. Modified part_1:【IC1】【IC2】【IC3】Changed operational amplifier from TL022CP to NE5532AP. Modified part_2:【IC4】Changed operational amplifier from JRC4558DD to TL072CP. Modified part_3:【C25(1μF)】【C19(1μF)】【C11(1μF→10μF)】【C18(47μF)】【C17(100μF)】The capacitors were changed to audio grade electrolytic capacitors or Tantalum Capacitor. Modified part_4:【C22(.047μF→0.1μF)】【C26(.047μF→0.1μF)】The capacitors in this unit were changed from film capacitors to metallized polypropylene capacitors. Modified part_5:【R27(10K)】【R24(3.3K)】【R33(4.7K)】【R14(1K)】【R30(10K)】These resistors were changed from carbon resistors to metal film resistors. LED color changed from red to ice blue. The rubber ring of the pedal guide bushing was replaced with a new one. Some of the slider knobs have been replaced with new ones. Please note that the modified GE-7 with reduced noise does not have the noise reduction features of the BOSS NS-2 Noise Suppressor.
