It is modified to reduce noise and true bypass switch.
We plugged in the guitar and got sound.
This model has been converted to a true bypass switch, so there is no room for a 9-volt battery. Therefore, it can be used only with a 9-volt DC adapter.
Tested.It works fine with 9V power adapter.
It made in Taiwan 1999 and Modified in Japan 2025.
It is modified to reduce noise.

Modified part_2:【C21(1μF)】【C22(1μF)】【C32(1μF)】【C12(47μF)】【C17(100μF)】The capacitors were changed to audio grade electrolytic capacitors or tantalum capacitor.
Modified part_3:【R34(10K)】【R7(3.3K)】【R41(4.7K)】【R26(1K)】【R36(10K)】These resistors were changed from carbon resistors to metal film resistors.
Modified part_4:LED color changed from red to iceblue.
The rubber ring of the pedal guide bushing was replaced with a new one.
Please note that the modified GE-7 with reduced noise does not have the noise reduction features of the BOSS NS-2 Noise Suppressor.

The normal footswitch is not functional because it has been converted to true bypass. The newly installed 3PDT switch can be used to turn it on and off.
